Aftercare: how to keep your treatment performing optimally

Your car has been professionally treated with a ceramic coating and/or Paint Protection Film (PPF). A strong foundation has been laid, but proper maintenance is crucial to keep the result beautiful and durable. The tips below will help you get the most out of your investment.

Give the protection time

After a coating treatment, the protection needs time to fully harden.

  1. Do not wash your car for the first 14 days. Also avoid aggressive soiling during this period where possible.

This curing time is essential for the life and performance of the coating.

Avoid car washes

Automatic car washes are a no-go (even for untreated cars). They cause swirl marks and significantly damage the protective coating. Hand washing is always the safest option. After your treatment, we'll provide you with a maintenance guide detailing all the steps for safe washing.

Regular maintenance is essential

To keep your protection in top condition:

  1. Wash your car every ±1,000 km or every 2 weeks

Use high-quality, non-aggressive products. Both our coatings and PPF are from GYEON, so we recommend maintenance products from the same line. These are specifically developed to complement GYEON protection and support its effectiveness and longevity.

Regular maintenance prevents dirt from building up and extends the life of the protection.

Monthly boost

Give your coating or PPF an extra boost about once a month with a suitable top-up product, such as:

  1. Bathe+
  2. WetCoat
  3. Cure

This strengthens the hydrophobic properties and keeps the car clean for longer.

Damage? Don't fix it yourself

Do you notice damage, dull spots or a problem with the coating or foil?

  1. Always contact us first. Do not attempt to polish, touch up or recoat yourself

An incorrect intervention can worsen the damage and irreparably damage the protection and will affect your warranty.

Periodic inspection

Finally, we recommend having your car checked by us every two years. We'll inspect the condition of the coating or PPF and make any necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

What to expect from Paint Protection Film:
Do you want to fully enjoy your car every single kilometer, without worrying about the paintwork? Then Paint Protection Film (PPF) is the one true solution. While a coating protects against dirt and chemicals, PPF goes a step further: it absorbs impacts that would otherwise cause irreversible damage to your paint.
